Knights Song & Dance Theater/ Spring 2011 Jungle Book
This season's production is The Jungle Book!
Grades 1 through 8…..Join the Knights Song and Dance Theater production of “Jungle Book”. The initial “learn the music” class starts Friday, January 28th and will continue for three consecutive weeks. Class dates: 1/28, 2/4, 2/18 and 2/25/11. At the end of the four week class, members will audition for parts (see below). All classes are one hour long (3:00-4:00 p.m.). The cost will be $20 per month per student, payable on the following dates: 1/25, 2/23, 3/23 and 4/20/11. If you choose to pay in full, the total cost will be $75, which must be paid by 1/25/11. Fees are non-refundable and must be paid on the designated due dates in order for students to participate. If fees are not paid by the due date, students will be checked into Day Care.
After the initial four meeting dates, the class will be split between Thursday and Friday practices. The chorus (jungle creatures and friends) will rehearse with Mrs. Zaragoza on Thursdays beginning March 3, 2011 for six classes: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 and 4/7/11. The cast (those with speaking and singing parts) will rehearse with Mrs. Palma on Fridays beginning March 4, 2011 for six classes: 3/4, 3/11, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8 and 4/15/11.
During the month of May, we will start putting the scenes together. There will be four classes for the Thursday class (5/5, 5/12, 5/19 and 5/26/11), and four classes for the Friday class (5/6, 5/13, 5/20 and 5/27/11). There will be combined rehearsals on 5/31, 6/1 and 6/2/11. Performances are currently scheduled for 6/3 and 6/4/11 (and tentatively 6/5/11).
