AAcademic Decathlon

Each year, the students in grades 6-8 are invited to become members of the AJHD – The Academic Jr. High Decathlon Team. This is an event that takes place on the first Saturday in March every year and over 1000 Catholic school students participate for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles event. For the 2015 event, we are celebrating 25 years of academic excellence!

Mrs. Ornelaz is our Head Coach and she is supported by teacher, parent and parish coaches. Each year, our student scores place them in the top 10 rankings of the individual subject scores. We are proud of our tradition of winning at the AJHD event every year. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Ornelaz or Mrs. Blair. GO KNIGHTS!

Art

The students in grades 1-8 receive art instruction by Mrs. Charek. We believe that students learn more effectively when they are also encouraged to be creative. Student artwork is proudly displayed in the classrooms and also at our annual Arts Festival in the spring of each school year.

As well, art is offered as an after school enrichment program once a week (for an nominal fee).
