Community Support

Serving our community

Children grow emotionally, intellectually, and physically through both their relationships and through their community. They might find this community in school or at home, on the playground, or in the backyard. For children, community involvement and engagement produces long-term benefits in their lives. It gives them a sense of belonging, develops leadership skills and is crucial to the building of their identity. For these reasons, the students and families at SnoSprings participate in a variety of community service projects throughout the year.

Candy for the Troops: In October of 2018, SnoSprings students donated more than 100 pounds of Halloween candy to be sent to the men and women serving in our armed forces.

Canned Food Drive: During the months of November and December, SnoSprings students and families participate in a canned food to the Issaquah Food Bank. Our community brings in an average of 2000 pounds of food (plus cash) annually.

New Board Game & Puzzle Collection: This winter SnoSprings is partnering with the Bellevue Boys & Girls Clubs to provide new games and puzzles to children whose families could not otherwise afford them.

Encompass: In 2017-2018, the SnoSprings community donated $2,500 to encompass a local nonprofit that partners with to build healthy foundations for children of all abilities.

Seattle Humane Society: In 2017, the students and families from SnoSprings donated more than $1,800 and over 350 pounds of pet food and supplies for our local shelter.
